Marcussen said:I was looking for a funnel because on all of my diesel cans the plastic spout is missing or broke. I did a search for diesel funnels when saw the Mr. Funnel website and decided this was a way to solve my wories about dirty fuel from my cans/service station and get a large funnel to stop the spills on the hood. I just ordered it so I hope it's worth the $24.
Saying nothing about whether or not Mr. Funnel is a worthwhile investment, new diesel cans can be had for about $6.
Underground and above ground tanks usually have water in the bottom of them. That is why the pickup on an underground tank is located a fixed distance above the bottom so it cannot pull the water off the bottom of the tank. As long as water doesn't get that deep in the tank, it is not a problem. Above ground tanks should be sloped so that the water flows to the opposite end of the tank, away from the outlet where fuel is drained from the tank. Either needs to have regular maintenance to remove the water.
