Accordingly to TractorData, it's powered by a FPT (Fiat Power Train) engine. FPT engines are used in most CNH tractors.

Don't I feel silly; I didn't know FPT was a company and assumed it was some proprietary thing. Apologies to the OP!

The specific engine is a New Holland F5G and it does use the same engine computer. Its been decent but we are having troubles with the def system in very cold weather. We use ours on a commercial farm / compost facility.
