You said you would haul your small Kubota - that must be a garden mower then, as your trailer must end up around 500#, hard to get a tractor that is less than 1000#!

you are right about the small Kubota, it has a belly mount mower. Mostly my wife wanted something so she can take the mower to her mothers to help out and sometimes to the dump. the 18ft triple axle is a little out of her league. We needed something to haul the atv and motorcyles and I came up with this design to accomplish both deeds. Ir should wind up with a 1500lb net load, but what I haul will be much les than that.

That will be nice. It is always good to see other ideas. Mine is finally ready for paint. I'm not a painter, but however it turns out it will have to do.

Hey Randall Glad to see ya back. I like the folding trailer, around here you could make a killing on them. I vae one question in the back ground on the right side of the chipper I see a pair of wheels. Is that part of an old economy or Jim Dandy tractor? Or is it some other type of frame or a dollyjust wondering lol.

That is a Gibson. It needs some help, the tranny was full of water and the rearend gears are stripped and I think the valves are stuck. All the parts are there along with the plow, cultivator,disc and the the front blade. I'll probably just part it out. I hate to do it, but I have too many projects to take that one on.

Randall what would you need to part with that little tractor. There is a man here rstoring ne and needs a few housing parts and all he got his from a scrap iron dealer and they had ut drain holes in a few of the castings to let the oil out. Thats a good looking little tractor Ive only seen one in the last few years at shows here. Ive seen a few adds fot them in the old 8 by 10 popular mechanics I collect. Sorry to drag the post off topic it just caught my eye lol.

I have no idea what to ask for it. One casting, the middle part of the rear axle where the pinion goes through is busted out. It could be repaired no problem. I guess when the rear gears let go the pinion climbed on the ring gear and popped the case. Other than that all the cases are ok. Although one side of the rear end was casted in Seattle and the other in Colorado.
I have an engine and was thinking of just using the front axle and clutch mechanisms to make a small tractor for the kids here. I have shortened a 3/4 ton chev rearend for the job, but I have a lot of interest in these trailers so not much time to play.
I guess the bottom line is make me an offer I can't refuse. I can send just what he needs if that is the case.

It is getting close to being finished. Painting took on a whole new meaning with all the sides of that square tubing to cover. Just when I think I was finished I would see a place that needed more paint.
Anyway it is coming together, just have the plywood to paint, by brush, and a simple wiring job and then to the state patrol. I will have close to a grand in it. For a simple utility trailer that is a lot, but at least it is usable for other things too and if I need to up the rating just a change of axle will take care of that, the frame will certainly take it.
