Well a trucker I know told me on the q.t. that it costs 70¢/mile to run the truck. I have heard of poeple who left their tractor at the truck depot and waited for a dead head going their way to move it. On a very good day a trucker might haul it for 90¢/mile Real shipping with insurance and all that costs more.

I was thinking about that guy who drove his tractor across the country. Wasn't that a fundraiser of some kind? A TBN relay sounds very cool. How about setting it up as a wildlife rehabilitation fundraiser.

Our mail comes from the Sutter Creek post office and our phone service is through Volcano. Guess that what happens when your place is just plain out in the sticks. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

We got snow at the house yesterday

I got snow reports from our buddy, RobertN in Shingle Springs. He told me 3 inches in the morning, but the real storm came later. I didn't hear the final outcome. My Sutter Creek property is at 2,000 feet, but heck, we even got snow down here in the East Bay!

Kids were running their toboggans on Mt. Diablo.

And this is usually the month we start using the swimming pool.
