Sorry to hear about your insulation, that stuff's not cheap.
Things should start improving fast now (weather wise) and before you know it you'll have it under roof just in time for that hot sun.

Some times, an inch is all you can get, and it's still better then nothing!!! Keep on pushing, it's going to be amazing.

Yep. Sometimes yo have to tKe a backward step to set your feet so you can push forward.

Keep the faith, consider how funny these events will be in the future. That is what you should aim for anyway LOL

I tend to laugh when these type of things pile up, like something has it in for me. Some people might be alarmed at me finding humor in my own demise, but it is a better look than anger.

No matter, it does not happen often but I find reasons to laugh at myself anyway.

That is my fancy septic system. It was empty and the rain floated it like a cork. I called the installer who told me i should have put some water in it. Well now i know.

Always forward. No prisoners. No Prisoners!

OUCH. I've heard of this happening, but mostly with fiberglass swimming pools. Every septic tank that I've ever seen was concrete. Seems like the installer should have either had a strong talk with you about filling it with water before he left, or he should have filled it himself. Either way, he should fix it without any additional charge.

Your guy should have given you a "heads up" on that situation for sure. He know's better and should help you out.
It's mostly dirt work & labor with a few bucks worth of PVC hopefully. I wonder if you'd be better off filling it or just putting in a quick drain to daylight in the gravel bed that I imagine it sits on? Looks like your grade would accommodate it in 40-50'.
I've heard that even concrete tanks will float..... a much worse repair. (looking on the bright side) Like you said, Forward:thumbsup:

Yea, installer should have told you about an empty septic.

I was working on a reconstruction project in Calif back after the calif earthquake. The HOA decided to resurface both swimming pools while work on reconstruction was in progress. I was site superintendant on the job and told them to wait until we were through because their work would interfere with our scheduled work. They decided otherwise and emptied the pools to begin work. Lo and behold both pools popped out of the ground due to high water table....and the lawsuits began. luckily our company wasnt involved because we had written proof we told them not to do the work.
