Now that I read the article I do recall that happening.

The King Gets a Throne.. or maybe it was the Queen.

Another excellent video. The drywall guys will appreciate the throne also.
I really gotta look into pex A. I have an outside faucet I took off when I built the garage and never put back, need to get it installed again sometime, but haven’t missed it too much in last 20 years it’s been gone. Would save some hose wrangling.

That tool is pretty pricy though, guess I’ll fire up the torch.

Don't get too far ahead of yourself there... The tapers still need to do all the screw heads in that bathroom (including some probably behind the toilet?), and still have more seam work to finish. Then you need to paint. That toilet is gonna be in the way. I understand your desire to have a toilet going, but it is going to cause you some trouble in the near future. Now if you want to prioritize that room, be ready to prime and paint it when they are done taping, and then you can go to it for getting the toilet and sink in permanently.

Once another bathroom is done, you can quickly pull this toilet for the taping, painting, etc. In the meantime, an important creature comfort.

I use the blue rubber seals for toilets all the time now. On some jobs, I'm pulling the toilet every morning and installing it when I leave for the day. A furniture dolly works perfect for moving the toilet out of the bathroom while I'm working, then bringing it back in to install it.

I like the rubber seals too

Heavy duty large trash bag liners for catching anything exiting the bottom of the toilet helps too. I basically put the toilet bottom first into the trash bag.

The Drywall finishing boss asked if there was a toilet, available the first day. Then asked if it was ok if they went in The woods. Said some people get mad if they go in the woods. Asking someone to go squat in the woods seems demeaning, when I can just put in a toilet. I can pull it later if I need to.
I know that some people are afraid of the woods. Snakes, spiders and ticks. And chupacabra.
If I have someone doing drywall who has to go and decides they are packing up for the day so they can find a flushable crapper, then I get delayed even more.
I had a porto-john on site for more than a year when I had a camper here. And it was still here when we started the build. But there is only one company in my area that provides them and they changed management. Early on their service was great. I could count on them to clean my 320 gallon tank for the camper every week and also clean the outside john. At first I only had the camper tank but the first winter I brought in the outside crapper. When they changed management, they stopped cleaning it and no matter how many times I called, they never came. They charged me each month and about 4 months into that, I got a new credit card and “forgot” to notify them. I sent them pictures of the maggots seething in the thing. And even after I threatened to lift it with my tractor and leave it at the public road, it still took two weeks for them to come get it. Plus, I have used it several times already and I don’t regret it a bit.

We spent the weekend working on siding. Rented some scaffolding and nought a blade for the skill saw. Achieved very little the first day but started to pick up speed the second day. I’ll hang on tonit for another weekend and will probably be able to finish the siding panels completely. I’d live to get the trim up but doubt I have enough time for that.
