My Kubota B2150

Definitely a possibility.
However, the joystick moves around quite a bit before anything is actually actuated. It's nothing more then a lever...and look where the fulcrum is on that lever.
When you put it it what you think is the "float" detent, you should feel a slight resistance. This is the actuator going past the float detent.
Using just a light pressure (your fingertip, not your whole hand), pull the stick aft. If you're in float, you'll feel that light resistance as you pull out of "float".

Also, if you're in "float", your bucket will not dig in as you move forward. Position the bucket slightly curled back (so the lip is above the ground) as you move your tractor forward.
My bucket, even in "float", tends to dig in a bit....thus the slight curl...

Minor addendum...
When pushing the stick forward, the FEL will initially try to lift the front end of your Kubota. As you enter "float", the front end of your tractor will drop back to the ground. You will feel a distinct "jolt" (for want of a better term).

BTW, since you're a Brit...is your steering wheel on the right side?

Well I checked and it doesn't lock in the float position I have to hold it there. I will call in to the Kubota dealer and ask if it is supposed to or not.

Could you take some pics of the grill guard with your loader raised? I have a B2150 with LA 350 FEL also, but no grill guard. I'd like to build one and your pics just may be the thing I need!!

I have a FEL that also does not stay in the float position. That is due to adding too much grease to the detent ball, spring and pin. I used to stay in float really well. But after I serviced the mechanism, it slips out of float all the time. I expect all I need to do is open up the cap and remove some of the grease; leaving just enough to prevent rusting.

Thanks for that info, maybe that is what the problem with mine is too. I will be popping into the local Kubota dealer so will try to find the best solution. I will let you know if there is a quick fix.

Yes this is the one /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. It was nearly 500 miles away so I contacted an engineer who went round to have a look at it, he only charged me £50 (US$70) which I think was very good. He said that it was as good as they had said it was and that it was a good buy.

The first time I saw it was when it was delivered and I wasn't disappointed, in fact I called the dealer up to tell him how pleased I was.

Must get myself a new sig sorted /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif.

I checked with the dealer and it should stay in the float position, they do a kit to repair it but it means taking the valve assembly apart which I don't really feel like doing. I will just have to hold it in postion or think of some other way to get it to stay there /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif.

You might want to ask the dealer how much work is involved. I suspect it will take longer to get to the valve then to fix it.
But, if it requires tearing the valve all the way down, I'd ask the dealer what their price would be to correct it.

Andy, I use float occasionally to push snow...that's about it. If you aren't going to use it much..might not even want to fix it.

In addition to your B2150's ROPS being different from the standard B2150 ROPS, that grill guard also looks different from the standard LA350 grill guard. It almost looks as if that grill guard is an after-market (or home built) model. Of course, it is possible that the Kubota LA350 grill guards sold in the UK may be different from those sold in the USA.

I'm supposed to get some seat time on my B2150 today. I'll try to take a shot or two of my grill guard.
