My letter to Kioti, loader rerepair, long

Yes. I agree. This is why I am encouraging all owners to check for cracks and then follow through with your dealers or Kioti if you find cracks. Even if your warranty has expired.

Maybe Kioti can identify a bad run by serial numbers, maybe identify a design problem, maybe engineer a repair bulletin or "kit" to be added as reinforcement.

(We're up to the 16th most highly viewed Kioti own/op post ever.)

I am being somewhat selfish here by trying to get the problem solved for all cracked loaders since I will likely have a cracked up loader before long. Even after my warranty expires I will use the Kioti engineered fix at my cost.

I spoke with my dealer today and they are getting my loader reinforced and told me I won't even be able to see the repair when it's done. He was talking to the Kioti Rep and he said they have only fixed 3 of these so far . That's in Canada. I will send a Pic of the repair when I get it back Friday.

Did they explain what the repair would be exactly? Just curious since I'm in the same boat. Although my craks are only about 1/2" right now.

I just got my CK30 back, They had a 3/8" plate made to fit over the entire back of the loader which was welded on . The plate had the hole in the back water jetted out so it looks good. They then made the inspection cover out of another 3/8" plate and tapped the six holes out to 1/2". They then painted it and it looks great.
I will send a pic as soon I borrow camera.

3/8"! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif That's pretty thick to be adding to that 1/16" thick base metal. Do you have a brushguard? Clearance is tight so you'll want to be sure you don't have contact there.
