Looks good so far LD. Might consider putting angle iron on the wedge to help split apart the wood a little more. Strengthens it as well. This thing should e pretty quick with the 22 gal pump and 4" cyl. There is a company that provides this set up (Twist Eze?) They call it a "re-splitter" as it splits wood right quick. Return is quite fast for a hydraulic.

If you're even HALF as bad as I've gotten lately, ya might wanna look in the ignition

Lately it can take anywhere from a half hour to a couple YEARS for me to find things - the more sure I am that I'll remember, the longer it takes.. Steve

Got the hoses on last night so its officially a splitter now. I will look for the key for awhile again today. Then it may be getting a rewiring job...

Looks great! Just need some new paint on the wheels and a jack stand!

Yea, I thought about doing the wheels but decided not to. They "were" powdercoated wheels. Prepping is a PITA, and I was out of black paint. And yellow dont cover well. Besides, I have plenty spares. So I wasnt too worried.

The jack should be delivered today. IT had to come from CA. But at least it is FED-ex. They deliver the earliest in the day. Usually around noon. USPS is ~2:00 and UPS is the worst @ 4:30-5:00

Just rewire the ignition -- you'll be sure to find the key right after ;)

Looks good. But we need video once you get it running:thumbsup:

All done and everything works. Cycle time is about 4.5 seconds out and 3.5 seconds back. Total of 8 seconds overall. I am happy with that.

I dont think the engine runs 3600 RPM, wish it did. But sounds like it is closer to 3k.

I have a video but I have no way to post it. No youtube account or whatnot. If anyone wants to see a video and has ability to post for me, shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I can send it to you.

LD1 Sounds GREAT look forward to seeing the video when ya get someone to post it for ya or sign up for Youtube account (think it's free for videos under 10 min.)

I have no intentions of signing up for anything else. Already too much to keep up with.

The vid isnt great. I didnt have any wood to split, so I split a couple of pieces of ash that were already split just to show the cycle speed.

JJ pm'd me and I e-mailed him the videos. Not sure if he has a youtube account to be able to post em for me or not. So still looking for someone that does so they can post for me. Just send me a PM with your e-mail and I will e-mail you the vid. ~4.0MB
