Here is my latest project. Spent most of a year at it. Has been very satisfying. Engine is 3 cyl. Kubota 20 hp. Drive is fully hydrostatic from a wrecked Massey swather I had given to me. Drive motors are 29 cu.in orbit motors from Princess auto. Brand new mini excavator tracks the single largest expense in the project. Didn't keep track of total time or expense but must be 1500 hrs and 5 or 6 thousand dollars by now. Any parts that could possibly be plasma cut I did on my 4x8 ft. Cnc plasma table including front idlers, rear drive sprockets and track rollers. Total weight might be 1200 lbs. Just guessing though. Top speed is close to 5 mph. Planning a 6 way dozer for it yet to. I'm very new at posting this kind of a thing so please bear with me. 20210327_174244.jpg20210327_174237.jpg20210327_174228.jpg20210211_095546.jpg

Nothing I like watching better than homebuilt dozer ****. ;) How are you tensioning your tracks? What hp is it? What will be it's primary use? Oh yeah, welcome to TBN!
hugs, Brandi

Yup and he's deep in a project enjoying himself like Billstmax (youtube) used todo before filming was stopped in the graveyard garage.

Very nice build! Whats going on the back for weight?

A 3 point hitch would be handy.

So far not noticeably light in the back. The fuel tank is under the seat and the back and sides of it are 1/4 inch plate also the hydraulic motors add some weight back there. Originally when I started I was planning a front end loader but needed to move dirt on a new place sooner so bought a 2520 JD with FEL so I'm planning a six way dozer now for the crawler. There is an auxiliary hyd.pump built into the hydostat.pump that I will use for the dozer. Right now it's just returning to tank. Don't have a lot of pictures of the build but will send some of various parts.20210122_092050.jpg
