Just bought my first ever new tractor. I bought the M7040 Hydraulic Shuttle 4x4 with a cab. It is to be delivered this Thursday. Can't wait to get in it and cruise up to Sonic Drive In and order a cheeseburger. Heeheee!! Bought it from Victoria-Oliver out of Victoria, Texas for $30747 delivered to the house full of diesel and ready to go. Now all I need is a 7' Modern galvanized cutter. I will post some pictures of the tractor and my Redneck self as soon as I get it.

Congratulations on your new tractor. Had mine for a few months now and have 90 hours on it. Its a great tractor

You must be using the snot out of that tractor to already have 90 hours. What kind of work have you done with it?

Used it mainly for mowing this summer. We mowe about 15 to 20 acres with the big tractor using a 15 Ft mower and then a zero turn Z28 for around trees and the buildings

I am so thrilled for you. Actually, I'm a little jealous. I have wanted that tractor for quite some time now. Now I'm actually leaning toward the M8540 for the loader, higher GPM hydraulics, hydraulic brakes, and especially the 12-speed transmission. No cab though. It is a very sweet tractor. All I can say is. . .you da man!!

Toddbo, what will you be using it for besides mowing?

I use it for anything like lifting, digging rocks, clearing land. Just got a pallet fork attachment for the FEL. It is very useful to move things around. Also got an 8 ft snowplow for winter that attaches to the FEL. Then I have box scraper, bush hog, rake, a couple of plows, wagons and other toys. Also have an MF industrial tractor with a loader that has 17 gpm hydraulics and a Myers plow that mounts in the bucket. Then i have the 404 Unimog that I really like because the great traction when locking the diffs and the high ground clearance

M7040, you sure do have a lot of tools (toys). I am certainly envious. I am planning to get pallet forks when I buy my tractor. I believe they would be more useful than anticipated. I have a whole list of things I need (er, want) when I get my tractor. But let's not hijack Toddbo34's thread. Toddbo-what are your plans, wants, needs, etc.?

Right now I am just planning on Mowing with it. I am eyeballing a Modern 7' Galvanized Predator Cutter and then next will be a 7' Modern Galvanized Box Blade. I had been mowing our 15 acres with a 1984 29 horse Ford. I could crawl faster than it would mow with a 4' cutter and the mosquitos evidently were having some kind of feast party everytime I would get on it.

I would eventually like to get the tiller for it and maybe a loader. Already have a post hole digger. It will be delivered to my house Thursday by 2pm. I'll have to make sure they throw in some camo Kubota hats and koozies. Can't Wait to see the look on all the mosquitos faces when they see that cab. Heeheee!!

I will post some pics as soon as I can.

Even though my wife says my BX2350 is just the right size and fills all her needs, I do admit I have tractor envy.

This is very exciting. I'm on my 2nd Kubota - L5030 - nowhere near what you got. I originally got the 3130 for bushhogging and moving temporary fence panels around on pallet forks. Since then I've found sooooo many uses for this beastie. My wife calls it my big orange wheel barrow but it digs holes, tills gardens, digs trenches, hauls mulch and compost.............

Big fun!!

I haven't bought any attachments yet. My neighbor has a 7' Modern Predator Cutter that he has barely used. It sells new for $3250 and he wants $2200 for it. His tractor was too small for it so he is selling it. The cutter is my main priority.

Thanks for all the great interests and replies. Here is a link to the Modern Cutter if anyone is interested. They are out of Beaumont, Tx.

It will be here tomorrow at 2pm...... Can't wait.
