There have been a few posts appearing with tidbits of info about new Kubotas coming next year. Supposedly there is a replacement in the works for the BX23. So I figured I would put my laundry list of wishes out in the faint hope that Kubota actually reads these forums and this might strike a nerve somewhere. Note - these are not necessarily in order of preference.
1) Fix the seat revolving mechanism - mine has come apart 4 times at last count. Twice it forced me to stop working with the tractor and wait until the next day when I could get to the dealer for parts and or repair.
2) Come up with an air cleaner bracket that does not break constantly
3) More lift/breakout capacity on the FEL
4) Quick attach feature on the FEL - the JD 2210 has it in this class tractor - the BX should be competitive
5) Deeper digging capability on the backhoe
7) More than 140 degree rotation on the backhoe boom.
8) Quick attach on the backhoe bucket (the Kubota K008 excavator has it - maybe it could be adapted)
9) A tachometer
10) A better FEL bucket level indicator
11) R4 tire option - this might mean going to 10" rims on the front but that is ok - I think the 10" front tired tractors like the 2210 and GC2300 series look "cooler" with those sized tires anyway.
12) Brackets on ROPS for mounting lights - if they were factory welded there could be no complaints about modifications after the fact.
13) Provision for auxiliary hydraulics on the backhoe. There was a recent thread from a TBN member who came up with a thumb for his BX23 that turned out really slick. Some factory provision for this would be nice.
14) Better engine compartment access. The tilt up hood on the NH TZ series looks pretty slick. I think the new Deere 2305 has nice engine compartment access too.
15) Curved FEL arms and matching hood for better view of FEL bucket.
16) Built in provision on front of frame for suitcase weights like the Deere 2305 has.
17)Fix whatever is causing BX front axles to get leaks in their kingpin seals (numerous posters on TBN have run across this as have I)
18) Position control on the 3pt hitch.
19) Tell the guys at the rear wheel rim factory to get their paint mix correct. The rear rims on my BX had a faded orange color to them when I got the tractor - I have seen numerous other BX's with this same problem.
