Eddie, you know I love to raz you.:D Hope you don't mind but I think you've met your match with Brandi here.
Are you guys anywhere near each other in the great state of Texas? I have a sis who lives in the Woodlands. I think it's up a few hours from San Antonio. I remember flying over Texas on my way to Mardi Gras (I was young then) and it took forever. And don't give me any crap like...well, they got jets now Rob, or something like that. hahaha

Great video you did. I knew you were a girl but I didn't know you were a GIRL! I see that we're the same age except you're a lot younger than me.
lol...I would much rather see pictures of you than Eddie by his lake.:D

You sure handle that Mahindra with ease too. I didn't know it had a tilt up steering wheel on it. I'd like to have that on my Kama now that I put a new seat in it. It would come in real handy getting in and out like that.
Do you have top and tilt on the tractor? Would that make it easier to hook up the backhoe? Does it have a subframe mount or is it solely a 3pt mount? The TNT helped me make it easier for hooking up about everything now.
Rob,
Thanks. :) But you are going to make Eddie upset. :D I was kinda nervous being filmed until I got on the tractor and started working. The Big Red Beast is really a sweetie. She has a pedal just to the right of the clutch pedal for tilting the wheel. I don't have TNT. But the 3PH arms have a sliding adjustment. See the photo. The BH is frame mounted. Back up close enough to hook up hydraulics and then back the tractor up to line up under the bottom mount. Then you sit down in the seat and "back" the hoe down on the frame. I am learning to do this quicker. First time I unhooked by myself, I had the boom extended with the bucket and the stabilzers supporting the weight. I had the bucket off the ground before I realized the BH was in a bind in the mount and just as I realized it, the mount let go and the hoe and I went backward while the bucket fell two feet to the ground. Thus I was almost thrown off the BH like flying over a bulls horns.
hugs, Brandi

Rob,
I'm about 20 minutes north of The Woodlands on I-45. I am 3 hours from Austin and about 4 and 1/2 hours from San Antonio. I figure Eddie and crew are close to 3 hours from here. I hope to find out in October.

Rob,
If Eddie still has that dozer, he has the advantage. ;) But I would match my Mahindra against his backhoe. :D :)
They do have jets to fly on now. I know, I work on them.

Brandi, talk to your concrete suppliers. Occasionally they'll get a couple of pours on a weekend that will make it worth their while. If they see it coming up and or they need your pour to make their minimum for a weekend work day you can get it done on the weekend. It happens and if you've got a heads up you can take advantage of it.

Brandi, Just curious about how you plan to keep the birds out of your new pole barn. Is that vented roof design always going to be open or will something like window screen going to be attached around the "vent area"?

Catman,
An interesting question. I am going to install chicken wire. I have thought about building windows on hinges for winter, but I wil see how the draft is from the stalls. I don't keep the horses in the stalls like fancy barns do during the winter. I let them range and keep their winter coats. I think their winter coats are pretty. :)
