Apart from skidding a few trees, most of what I've done with my power-shuttle RX is loader work - making large stacks of slash on multiple jobs to burn off at a later date. It works, well. That said however, I have never used a HST tractor so can only compare it to non-shuttle/powershift models where my left leg would be sore near the end of a week of loader work.I just sold bobcat ct450 I was looking at the RX Line over the NX I have always had hydro. How does the power shuttle work on these tractor? Thank you
Some other things about loader work with the RX. I find the pump slower than optimal now I'm used to the tractor. Something I noticed before purchase but was one of the compromises I was willing to make. Essentially the pump output isn't enough sometimes and I find myself moving slower than optimal between scrap/slash that needs to be picked up and the piles it is being dumped on, in order to give the loader time to raise or lower. More pronounced when working in tight spaces that don't need much travel time between FEL movements.
Another thing though that has impressed me about FEL work with the RX, is it's really well balanced with my 400 or so kg winch on the back. Very stable even at full height. With the wheels out as wide as recommended and 3/4 filled tyres, it feels so much more stable than other tractors I have done loader work with. It's unusual for me to be doing FEL work on flat ground, so stability is always a key point. So from that perspective, the RX is better than I expected.
*Editing to add* one 'WTF were they thinking' thing is the handles on the pin for the FEL bracket that are there to help get on/off the tractor can rattle very loudly because nobody thought to sleeve a rubber grommet on the loose end. I ended up cutting a bit of hose for them because the noise is crazy.
