My soon to be new house

We hope we have taken into consideration all we will need to do with the house since we plan on staying in it til the end. We build what we feel is our dream home. Now I know that down the road we will make modifications, additions in our lifetime, barns added etc. But for the purposes of our lifestyle, no kids, cats, dogs etc for our children we should be ok. Plenty of room, nice features and low maintenance areas such as siding, porch flooring, windows etc.

Just for reference, I bought a new 4WD Chevrolet Suburban LS in 1999 for $33,000 US (plus tax, 6.25% in Texas) I am currently building a house, acting as my own general contractor, for about $170,000 US plus $42,000 US for 13 acres. Out in the country, but only about 30 minute drive to downtown Dallas, house is approximately 3100 sq. ft. living about 3550 sq. ft. total including garage. It seems to me it is like anything else, if you are knowledgeable and do enough research you can keep expenses down and still get what you want. BTW, also just received a bid for a 24 ft. x 32 ft. pole shed with metal siding for $9400 (includes 10' walls, 4" slab w/rebar 18" o.c., 1 ft. over hangs, 1 walk in door, two 9'x9' garage doors).

Well, we went to contract last wed. And I got to tell you, you guys talked us into the sitting room. We realy do not have the use for it now, but down the line, it will come in handy. Well now we just have to wait for the banks, lawers, and the updated plans, and we are a go./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif This is the hardest part, Got the contract all set, and just got to wait for everything to fall together. Looking at about 4,to 5 weeks before dirt is moved./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif But its on its way./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Well, that was last years pictures, but it is realy greening up sofar this year. I was going to mow it this weekend, but I still had the chains on my 444, and the 224 would not start.

Oh ya I will keep those tractors busy. I realy need a bigger one, but its eather the house, or the tractor, and the house wins out. Luckly for now I have been able to do any thing I need done with them, but soon I will realy need a FEL for the landscapeing work.
