As wet as things look (especially here), a straight pull with a 20' chain would have just made more ruts. It needed to be lifted from both sides and moved at the same time or it would have slide sideways into the hole.

Hmmm, pulling with a chain on a mower stuck in a hold in the ground (as seen here and hereIt wasn't raining when it happened and with 1 chain and dry ground this should have been a non issue ,my shoulder is just fine thanks for asking !
