My toolbox

I almost went with 50 cal ammo can but came up with this instead. It is a SQ D stainless steel 30 amp disconnect switch. The interior components were robbed out of it and replaced into one in service. The new enclosure was then thrown out. The only holes were where the handle mechanism was mounted and I had those filled in. It has latches and a gasketed cover. I added a piece of conveyor belting in the bottom for some cushion.

l i w, I mounted it on the flat steel that runs across between the ROPS behind the seat. I used short pieces of stainless unistrut. Unistut is a channel commonly used for pipe or conduit hangers. I bolted the strut to the flat steel cantilevering it towards the rear of the tractor. Then fastened the box to the strut using spring nuts which are designed to fit into the strut channel. Hope this helps.

What kind of use would require a SS box? Food Industry? Maybe Chemical? That had to be an expensive box! But maybe cheaper than one from John Deere. I like it:thumbsup:

That's pretty darn cool, and it would have been a shame to have seen that box go in the scrap/trash bin. It's nice to see someone besides me who uses Unistrut on their tractor.
