You might be surprised at how much better you feel if you dont have that daily dose of TV indoctrination.

Sage words indeed. However, I must know everything about Caitlyn Jenner, the Duggar family, and would feel like I was missing out if I didn't see the video at least 100 times of the cop assaulting the black teen .. TV at its best! :D

Mace is Canadian, they're all imports to him.

Yes I know. I put that in there because it is a quote from a late 1980's Curtis Mathes TV commercial. Do you remember it?
Here's another from the late 70s: "Zenith. The most expensive television set made in America, and worth it!"
How about this: "At Curtis Mathes we refuse to use cheap printed circuit boards in our products. Every component is wired by hand."

Who?! What family!? And which video are you referring to? You are really making a case for NOT having television.

I have to confess that I found out who the first was in the past month or so. I used to think that Kardasian was an alien species from the latest Star Trek. (Which I finally watched last winter in a motel room... until I fell asleep during yet another marathon commercial break.) And there is so much about the last that I have no problem knowing what the to-do is about, although I can't always keep track of what city it happened in.

Oh, and speaking of Curtis Mathes, I'll bet there's 10 bucks worth of copper in that thing. They always shunned circuit boards. They were at one time the largest employer in Athens Texas.

I just looked at the brochure to make sure I remember correctly...

Zenith... "The quality goes in, before the name goes on."

Nothing about being the most expensive.

Due to the use of chassis construction with the high quality components, Zenith televisions and radios of the 1950s to 1970s found today are often still working well, needing little, if any, work to restore them to like-new operating condition.

I heard that Caitlyn said she was a Rebublican.

Now that hurts. I hope she doesn't campaign as a Republican for a "real change".

Well, as luck would have it, I have another TV set now, a Sony KV-36FV310 CRT. It's larger in screen area by about 15% so it's a little nicer that way and it was free so it's a LOT nicer that way! :D Used but relatively new when compared to the old one, manufactured in February of 2004. If it lasts as long as the old one I'll be more than happy! Did I mention it was delivered at no charge?
