Carl, Evervthing has a price or so I've been told! :) So ifin I was to sell it I am sure I would require some rediculous amount for it!!
Thanks for the kind words tho. And no I haven't totaled it up yet as there are a couple more to-gets for it yet, but I am sure it is less than $500.
Along with not being a welder or painter I am not much of a book keeper either!! (much to my wifes chagrin!!)[

Hey, I need a 5' box blade, wanna build a nice heavy duty one for me? Let's say $400? Oh wait, where are you? Anyway, great job on the trailer, enjoy it.

Good Job!! Less than 3 months start to finish on a BIG project... That's a good pace. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I love seeing stuff like this come together and turn out so well.

I made some modifacations to the KF DT2.16 today, I added some clamps to the side of the dump so I can carry yard tools with me. I may add another set, not sure. I bought them on ebay a couple years ago after I read a post on TBN about them but can't remember where it is. They are called Quick Fist rubber clamps and they work great  for holding all sorts of tools or pipe, I have one on my Quick hitch to hold my "D" handle round point shovel so it is always with me. I also put a SMV on the back so if I am taking it down the road I don't get hit from the rear.
The last pic is for banditbooker's benefit!!!! :D I'm just giving an old timer a lift!!!! :D

Ok I don't know how it happened but I found a scratch on the inside of the tailgate (probably from haulin that deere around!) So I figured it's broke in and now we can get to work with it! I have my brother in-laws John Deere 2310 with a fel on it so I loaded my DT 2.16 with some dirt to test it out and it passed with flying colors!! :cool2:
As you can see in the pics the thing was very full heaped up in the center and to the top of the sides (18").
There is a slight problem though and I don't know what to do about it but there is way too much tounge weight. While it was on the quick hitch it lifts the front of the tractor unless I have my front weights on. I don't know if it would lift the front if I had a ball on the draw bar, That will be how I have to use it I guess! But on a side note I could dump it without it hooked to the tractor!!

Here is a short video for your viewing pleasure! :licking:

Just my opinion, but the weight distribution issue could be solved by moving the axles closer to the center ... leaving them back a little, to maintain "some" weight on the hitch.

I've seen lots of boat trailers with the suspension mounted on a couple of angle irons that were clamped to the frame rails. This might be a good way to build a dump trailer.

The suspension could be moved back and forth to find an ideal location when loaded. Then it could be clamped permanently or welded.

Is there some way you can get more of the weight shifted to your front wheels? Your rears are carrying more and that would cause your trailer tongue to be heavy. How does it look with the load on and unhooked from your tractor? I'm not sure myself whether it ought to hang in midair somewhat lower than your hitch or nearer the ground. Maybe someone can comment and tell me I'm full of it!

..... I'm not sure about the weight distribution, but the build is great work and the humor... Well, that is the iceing on the cake!

Good job!

If I were to move the axle mount I would also have to move the lift point for the hyd cylnder under the bed and there are a lot of welds under there so I am not thinking that would be an option at this point. :( Maybe if it proves to be a problem I will look into moving the axle.I wish I could have tried it with dirt in it bbefore I painted it then I would have moved it. :ashamed:
