I don't think that metal box would be off a 1928 truck..I don't think they had a metal box like that for a 1928 truck...as everything including cars were sqaure boxed built.... no metal forms/machinery back them days...nor did they use the GMC logo till much later on in years ....what they used in that year (1928)was a wooden platform most likely made of hardwood...as my father always referred to as a flatbed... if my father....born and raised in North Bay Ontario Canada were still living... I do believe he could tell you the exact year and model this truck box you found on your property belonged to...Ampa....:)

I love finding old mysteries in the woods. I have a friend thats 80 and he told me in his day when a car died and there wasnt enough cash tofix it was made into something else. He had an old Model A motor set up like this to run a cut off saw for sawing slabs.

I picked up several old farm implements cleaning up lots here. I took them and made yard art from the bad ones and sold others to collectors.

That thresher would bring big money to a collector. A museum bouth the only one I know of here for a working display.
