Does anyone know what the name of the implement in the attached image is?

Here's what I know: It's made by modern manufacturing, it's a 4' scoop, and has somewhat of a box blade in the front-facing side below the hitch mounts.

Modern doesn't seem to have a web site, and I can't find it anywhere else so far.

Thanks for any help!

Sam

Bigun,

If that's the case, I guess I'll need another tractor to mount one of those sweepers that Dylan was talking about /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I found a web site for modern, modernusa.com, but that implement is not pictured. They are looking for people who have 20 year old implements.

A pooper-scooper for somebody with a really big dog.

Don't have a name for it but it sure looks like a handy unit for carrying various items.

It looks to me like a dirt scoop that's made to only work in the reverse direction. The "blade" on the front might allow you to do some smoothing of materials after you dump them. The release latch looks like you have to lower the scoop to the ground to relieve tension, release the latch, and lift the scoop with the 3PH to dump.

I've never seen that specific unit, but I have the reversible dirt scoop shown in the attachment and I think they are far more common. On old Ford tractors and Fergusons, you could easily reach back and trip the scoop while sitting in the tractor seat. With today's high platform tractors, it's nearly impossible unless you rig some type of rope or other release mechanism.
