Need a laugh???

Hi all,

I have some geese(emden), one of the them is pretty mean he bites everyone, family, friends, neighbors, UPS guy, horses, cats, dogs etc... he's picked-up the name Jaws, for obvious reasons. For some reason he has never never bit me, usually won't even come within 10ft of me......... anyways
yesterday I was repairing some fence a horse had tore down, Jaws bit me on the @#%, I jumped straight up and spun around and bumped my arm against the hot wire #%$&*%$@. Now all the geese are honking (laughing IMO) and I'm cussing and hoping no one just saw that. Still not sure which hurt
worse, but I still have a mark where Jaws bit me. Wasn't even close to funny at the time. But I hope ya'll get a good laugh now./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Would've been a winning candidate for Funniest Home Video, if only it was caught on tape.

Having been bitten by a goose myself I sympathize with you!!! They hurt! I just made matters worse though when it happened to me. It was winter and I was alot younger. Well I chased that thing all over and I was going to bite him back. Well I slipped and fell about ten times and then got so tired I couldn't even hardly move, never caught him, and was on my knees panting and the damn thing came over and bit me again!!! Never did catch him. But like Harv said wish I would have caught it on camera I'm sure I could have won on one of the funniest video shows.

The local high-school was built next to my Granpa's ranch. For PE, sometimes they jog/run around a few of the local roads, which lead behind the ranch. sometimes kids would shortcut across the property...

Well, my Grandfather irrigated the fields so he could run a few head of cattle.

Imagine climbing over a field fence, all sweaty and stuff. The grass is damp... But, you didn't realize there was a live hotwire there /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Every once and a while he'd hear a yelp or scream as some kid hit that hotwire! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

He was humored by it. But, now, you could get sued!

Great story. Reminds me of when I was about 8 to 10, I would go with an uncle to visit some of his relatives who lived Amish style, no electricity, running water, wood cooking stove, and so on. They always had a gaggle of geese, what kind I know not, but at that time they seemed as tall as I was. I had more than one run in with them. But as I remember it, they would bite and get a hold of either my skin or clothing, then flap their wings. Thus they were able to effectively beat the daylights out of me with their wings. It left an impression. To this day I won't allow a goose on my place unless his head has been removed.
