NEED A NEW TOILET

Frank,

I ordered from Lowes since HD did not stock the round front. They had the enlongated front version. Since I have both Lowes and HD near me, I go to the nicer store. This is the ADA - Comfort Height - Chair Height model that others have said is the way to go which I must agree. HD website shows the enlongated version (found on their website by searching for kohler toilet) which you should be able to get faster. (It was actully cheaper to get it special ordered from Lowes /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) The only reason that I insisted that it be the round front was my space requirements. The depth of the bathroom when I started was 48" and every inch counted. I ended up with and extra 3.5" when done. That is that short wall that can be seen in the photo.

When I decide to finally build a house that will probably be the toilet that is used if it is still available then.

I just moved from a place that had the little round front toilets to one with the elongated Kohlers and I prefer the elongated models, but they aren't the tall ones which is what I'd probably buy if I had to replace one.

I have used Mansfield in the last two houses I built. They work far better than any others I have used and are relatively inexpensive. In my opinion, they work better than American Standard or Eljer. I've never owned a Kohler, but I hear they are nice, but can be a little pricey.

Well i found a plumbing distributor in the area that had a kohler showroom, went and looked, and bought (at dealer price) a kholer cimaroon (sp?) model, ADA comfort height, 2 1/8 glazed trap, with the 3 " flapper, elongated bowl, all hardware included(minus supply line) with upgraded seat with tax for $280 toilet it self with all inards was $220. bought it at 12 pm and it was delivered at 3:30. now i just have to install it /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif anybody willing to install it can use it 1st /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif only thing i was not crazy about was the low water level in the bowl, but they all seemed that way. hope it works as it is supposed to. BTW did not realize there was so many different types of toilets, and good grief the price of some of them is out landish /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
