Need a one row cultivator and hiller

Hello,

I'm on the search for a one row 3 point cultivator and a bedder or hiller. Any suggestions on a quality made unit? Will be used for large garden behind 30 to 40 hp tractor. Thank you!

Don't know brands but I saw a 3 point cult that the guy added disc hillers to when needed and then took them off when he was just weeding.:2cents:

Are you looking for new or used? I bought a new row hipper made by Howse(they call it a ridger) year before last and really like it . It was about $650. I took our Ford 2 row cultivator and made it into 1 row. I would like to get a 1 row tool bar cultivator, they run about $450. I see some good buys on Craigslist, but most are out of state.

I have the 6 shank cultivator from McGee, and although I haven't used it yet, I really like how it is made. The ability to raise the center tines to not tear down your rows, is a great feature. Here is a link to Bayou Gardener's video of it.

Even though you can get combo packages to swap out hillers for cultivator tines, I elected to get a separate hiller so I don't have to worry about swapping parts out.

I was able to get a set similar to this from my brother in law but with 4 rows instead of two . They were in weeds and vines from 30 years past so we had to dig them out. I intend to cut the bar down to just two rows like in the photo but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

you can buy cultivator tines separately. I run it behind small B2320N, good for one row cultivating, marking, potatoes bedding.
