have you tried mowing with one of those/your weight lifting belts on? they make some nice velcro ones in different widths...don't know if this will help but might be worth a try

K&M seels self contained (12 volt compressor equipped air ride seat bases. If you have 12 volt starting you have a battery and hooking it up would be easy. Just purchase the base and attach your existing seat.

As for the tire pressure, I already run under the recommended. I have ever since I bought it to soften up the ride a bit.

I do have one (bought it right after this injury). I definitely plan to try it (I was actually on the mower today cleaning up leaves), but I just had an appendectomy 11 days ago, so I don't want to go putting pressure on my abdomen quite yet.

Thank you! They also have a regular suspension seat that fits my exact model, too.

Most all seat base mounts today conform to the ISO mounting spec so most all of them will be bolt on as the attachment holes / studs will line up just fine.

The air ride seat bases aren't cheap but neither are doctor's bills or pain meds. I also have the same issue as you do. getting old sucks and I really don't believe there is a ZTR made that rides halfway good. Not even the Ferris with the suspension rides very well. My buddy has one, he's hot overly impressed with it. Probably be adding the air ride seat base this year as well.

So do I. Like 6 pounds in each tire.
I run 8 psi in each tire and suspension seats
Ride is decent, but the wife and I have a habit of mowing at full sticks/full speed

okay this gets away from suspension modifications but believe it or not it this clam exercise has help my hip and lower back pain.

My daughter went to physio and they gave her this exercise.

I do twenty each side every day and it has been more effective then towels stuffed behind my back, rest, losing weight..... anyway worth a try, eh? I will be 66 in April the specialist wanted to fuse my back in three places in 1989, I am not blowing smoke, nobody knows back pain unless they have been there. Good luck!
