Need a Tiller

Okay folks, I'm getting desparate. I've searched my local area, ebay, equipmenttraderonline, this site and several others to no avail. I'm looking for a decent, used PTO tiller for my BX. Don't care what it looks like as long as it works.

Any suggestions? Anyone have one they'd be willing to part with?

You need about a forty inch unit and for this area we like ones with a slip clutch for the stones!

When you think you have found one, if it looks good, don't hesitate to buy it as we have customers that also want one but we don't have them available used!

I'm in the same boat. I have time untill I start my lawn rebuild project so I comb EBay for used 48" higher end tillers but nothing shows up except ones that look like they were beat to with in a inch of their lives before rusting behind some guys shed. I guess I'll be forced to go new but in the mean time I'll keep looking.

If I were going to use it more than a couple times per year I'd just go out and buy a new one. But when I can rent a walk-behind unit for $60/day, it would take many years to justify the cost of a new one.

That's why I'm looking for a used one. I intend to use it for my yard project and then sell it as I don't have room for it or any temptation to garden. Local rentals don have 3ph rentals.
Probably for a good reason

Have you check Craig's list in your area?

I found a FL 850 that I have managed to get to work with my BX 24, I only get 4 inch of till at most on a pass, but then again, I have a sand and loam soil so I don't need to get deep.

Yep. Craigslist was one of my first stops. Nuthin unfortunately. I actually ended up putting a wanted ad on Craigslist.
