I would go no smaller than 18'. I have a MX5100 (50 HP) and I can squeeze my tractor, rear blade on with very little room to spare. Would't mind having another 2' or so....
Totally agree- even my 40 hp ford and the brush cutter is a little long for my 20 foot tilt trailer.

It would also be over weight if limited to 6850 lbs. on the trailer and or trucks load capacity
tractor 3800 + 1500 loader +900(loaded 14.9x28") 800lbs. Old ford 6ft. brush cutter + 700lbs. riding mower = 7700lbs. ... it adds up quick
You will have to be careful in your choices- to meet your weight limitations
