It took a month for the most of the stuff to come in and get installed. The pallet forks are still on order.

Anyone know where to get a good bush hog? RK's bushhog for the RK55 only has a one month warranty. ??

Congratulations. It sure looks good. Most new tractors have a period of time when you have to adjust and fix a lot of picky things - if it happens, don't let that get you down.

The standard for a Bush hog is the venerable Woods five foot M5 Dixie Cutter with the single trailing wheel. Mine must be 40 years old and still works. Used prices are around a grand - depending on whether the gear box needs bearings or seals and what shape the blades are in. Be sure that the PTO shaft is straight, u joints solid, and it should have a slip clutch, an over-running clutch, and maybe a shear bolt as well. Can't have too much protection on a bush hog.
The first time you hit a stump and tractor survives just fine, you'll be glad that the clutches and shear pins are in the PTO shaft rather than in the tractor transmission.

Some hogs have a chain skirt and some solid metal skirts. Mine has metal and I wish it had chains or both. It can and sometimes will throw a golf ball or a rock clear out of sight. Other times the whatever just rattles around in the hog until it gets small enough to be spat out.

Ran into a major problem with the RK55. Was preforming pre-run checks for fluid levels, etc whan I discovered I could not get to the oil dipstick!

The dipstick comes out of the engine block at about 75 degrees, then it turns horizontal, parallel to the ground. On top of the dipstick, there is a bundle of htdraulic cables. Below the dipstick is the massive subframe for the loader and backhoe. I can't get it out -- and if I did mangle it and remove it -- I'd never get it back in. Sheesh.

Any know of an extension kit for this or another fix? This is not usable in this condition.
