That looks like a trailer built for half the capacity, that just happens to have double 8-lug 7k axles underneath it. Interesting.
It very well could be but it has worked really good to haul around my little tractor with FEL and 6' bush hog.

This is what I use to haul my bigger tractor equipment and hay.

Heck yeah, perfect for that! Exactly the kind of trailer I want to own, actually.....

I don't know I would have to look through the paperwork tonight, but I'm not trying to prove anything, my post stated that it was an 18' +2' dovetail equipment trailer that has 2-7k axles with brakes on both axles that weighs in at 1990 pounds, there were a blue million of them made in these parts back in the 90's and mid 2000's and while I have never had 12k on it , it has hauled any and everything under the sun probably up to about 7 or 8k and to this day it hasn't warped or bent, I bought it from a local trailer manufacturer brand new in 2006 but I will look tonight to see what any of the paperwork says.
Your FL trailer registration will have the manufacturer GVW listed.

I don't see that on my registration, so I looked on my Gooseneck brand stock trailer which has 2-5k axles under it and it's not on there either, I did find the sales invoice/receipt and it says 14k equipment trailer, I won't be able to post a picture till Monday but I will take a picture of both registrations and the invoice as maybe I am missing it, post a picture of your's and maybe that will show me where to look.

My 14K trailer is not in FL, and is currently not with me.
I had a previous FL trailer, and the trailer GVW was listed on that registration..

I'm buying a bx1880, and I decided to buy a trailer at the same time. I bought a Hudson Brother's 20' (18 flat 2' dove) 3.5 ton capacity 9,000 gvwr for $3900. Compared to used prices I couldn't pass it up! I wanted a trailer I can haul my tractor, lumber, broken down truck, etc on. I'm always having random needs for a trailer and you never know what it's gonna weigh!

Sorry I just noticed you have a frontier. Note that the GVWR is not a rating of what you can tow, but a rating for what sort of payload it can handle on its own 4 tires. (Gvwr should be equal to the payload capacity plus the weight of the vehicle.) It'll let you know how much tongue weight you can handle, but other than that it's not directly related to whatever your tow rating is. Perhaps you're aware, and if so I apologize!

Quality Trailers Utility trailer, 16x7 with 2 3500 lb axles.

Iron Bull equipment trailer, 20' + 2', 2 7000 axles.

Appalachian Trailers dump trailer, 14 x 7 with 2 7000 lb axles.

The utility trailer is so I have something I can drag with my Cherokee TrailHawk if needed. Obviously I couldn't load it like you see with 9000 lbs of wood....

But the 22 foot Iron Bull is a great trailer for small tractors.
