You didn't mention what else may be running while you're playing etc...you can download apps for finding and fixing memory leaks...
open the device manager and find the running processes and see what "might" be hogging RAM....
for instance...if you are running anti virus software...try killing the process and see if it makes any difference (you can disconnect the Internet connection while your shields are down)
