kubota l3901
I have a new l3901 and i have a curtis snow plow which is about 10 years old (had since new). Was previously used on a 2002 kioti dk35. I hooked it up to my new kubota and blade only goes one way. When i reverse hoses it will only go the other way. I run the angle on the dump bucket circuit ,i always ran it on the kioti this way. Help!

Welcome to TBN.

Try pushing the lever fully to the dump position, past a resistance.

Show us the plumbing. A plow setup such as this usually has one hose from the valve going to the push side of one cylinder and the return goes to the push side of the other cylinder. That makes it a double acting situation with the two plow cylinders mechanically connected and acting like one.

thats how its set up and it worked well when i had it on a kioti dk35

another thing i want to add is it only moves the angle when i push lever to the left(curl bucket) till it maxes out but won't go back.If i switch hoses it will move blade in the opposite direction til it maxes out again and it will not go back.Again only when i move the stick to the left. It never moves the blade when i move stick to right

Move the lever past the regen mode, which is the first part of lever travel. Dump mode is far right.

There is no flow to the cyl when using regen.

My brother has a dk35 and his loader valve does't have regen but it's not a kioti loader. I don't remember who the MFG is, but the valve is a prince. That might be the reason it work ok on the dk35.

Ditto what others said.

Kubota valves have regen in first position. which pressurizes BOTH hoses and basically locks things up. You have to push the valve ALL the way to the right.

The kioti either didnt have regen, or regen was second position on the lever.

BTW, what are the cylinders on the plow like? a pair of single acting cylinders (one hose going to each)? Or a pair of DA cylinders (2 hoses going to each)? or is it just a single DA cylinder?

i have 2 single acting cylinders
2 lines that come from control valve feed into some kind of manifold and from this manifold to cylinders

Manifold is probably a crossover relief.

Any pictures of your setup.

It is highly suspect that it only dont work when pushing the lever to the right (normally bucket dump), because regen will do just what you describe. You either need to know if regen is first position on the lever or second, and whatever it is cannot be used.

It does not move blade when I dump or push stick to right

There is no second position not like when I push the stick up where it can go into float position

There should be two right positions on your joystick. Sometimes the detent can be really stiff and you just ain't pushing hard enough. Other times it can be hardly noticable and you are pushing past it.

Don't know if your regen is first or second position. But you can't use regen. It puts pressure to both hoses. Until you figure this out, not much help we can be

It may be there, but is very stiff since you haven't been using it.

Mine is like going into float, but to the right instead of forward. It is quite a bit harder push than going to float position.

Anyone confirm weather regen is first or second on kiotis

Kubotas typically have regen in first position. Wondering what it was on your previous kioti that worked for you.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the plow, as it does work in both directions by swapping hoses, so that proves the lines and cylinders are all good.

And I assume the bucket works as it should as well, so the valve is good.

I just don't think you are pushing far enough right to get past the regen mode on the valve. My Kubota has a stiff detent. Stiffer than the float detent as someone else also said.

Do you notice a detent at all? Does the lever move farther to the right than it does to the left? If the answer is no to either, you are still in regen

I believe there were some FEL valves maybe Kubota, that had full time regen on the FEL valve.

Manual should say for sure. That or the decal kn the valve.

If it is fill time regen, cant use the pair of sa cylinders
