Need Help with Cluth Adjusment

We have the MF 240 and had to install a clutch.

Before the new clutch we cluld not shift the gears with the tractor running. PTO worked OK.

Now, with the new clutch, the gears work just fine but we cannot turn the PTO on with the tractor running?

Any help would be appreciated.

Does it now grind when you try to engage the pto?

Good Afternoon Qapla,
It sounds to me like you have to adjust the PTO clutch, it should be in your operators manual if you have one...

On my tractor there is an access cover on the left side of the clutch housing, remove the cover and adjust three equally spaced bolts with locking nuts so that the head of the bolt gives you a .040 feeler clearance. I would think this would be spelled out in the manual...
