Has anybody made a rack for carrying Rakes Shovels Pitch fork etc.
I find it frustrating not having the right tool and do more walking than working.
I use my front FEL rather than a trailer.
Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Get a King Kutter Carry All and you can put a pallet on it or whatever. Its a multi-tasker.

Yes I have thought of something like that. But how to attach tools is the bigger issue for me.

Pvc pipe makes a wonderful tool holder. Just U bolt it to the front of the carry all.

Depending on what you usually carry on your 3PH, I've seen on the DIY thread some interesting ballast box configurations consisting of PVC pipes with concrete poured around them.

There's also been chain-link fence attached to the ROPS with tool holders incorporated.

Sorry that I don't have the links for you.

Here's a chain-link brush guard/tool holder:

Wouldn't be too hard to add attachments for rakes, shovels, etc ...

I only want to carry rakes and shovels. Don't need extra ballast just a aching system for tools .

Look at places that sell to landscapers. There is tons of mounting hardware out there for mounting on a landscape trailer... weed whackers, shovels, rakes... whatever you can think of.

In my garage I used one of these wire cubes mounted to the wall for all sorts of handled tools:
Amazon.com: Whitmor 6070-1723 4 Storage Cubes, Black: Home & Kitchen

I got the idea from noticing the way that mops and brooms are displayed at the grocery store. The holes are about 1-5/8", which works for straight handles, things like rakes, brooms, shovels, even things with two handles like loppers or clamshell post-hole diggers. Doesn't work for things with big or oddly shaped handles like spades or axes. The clips that hold it together are flimsy and need reinforcing with zip ties.

I think you could do the same thing on the ROPS. I think with a rack and a box with a lid you can carry almost anything, stuff that won't fit in either can ride in the bucket.

I often have an armload of tools when I'm using the chipper or the post-hole digger on the three-point so the idea of a carry-all isn't appealing.

Thanks for sharing. I have a display rack from a rental company show room, I think I'm going to cut a section out of it. Would be very easy to remove tools from it.
Thanks

Just curious, besides carrying hand tools, what do you use your FEL for?

Almost anything you use the FEL for will be enhanced by rear ballast, and the upright pvc pipes gave us a ready place to put tools, shovels, rakes, etc.

We used to stick shovels and smaller tools in the cross tubes of the FEL, but even though none ever fell out, I always worried that they would.

I use the loader for landscaping. Any type of soil or aggregate. have looked at the idea of using something on the bucket but I decided that I would like something on the back. Think I have it figured out what I will do,when I get a chance.
