I had a similar problem. Wanted to keep the backhoe on the BX24 and wanted to mow fields and my lawns. Bought a BX1850 54 inch MMM and it is used for three point hitch stuff like post hole digging, mowing and pulling things with the front end grill guard hitch I bought for it. One thing I have found, is that the 54 inch MMM is pretty power hungry for the 1850, the 60 inch may be a bridge too far. But as far as between the two cylinder and the 3 cylinder, go for the 3 cylinder if the prices are not too far apart.
