Here's a picture of the joystick loader control with the rocker switch that controls the solenoid. I'll spare you the pics of the plumbing and valve itself - too much like FL's to be much help. My solenoid is mounted in the exact same place - lower part of R/H loader support. I agree with Kenny, I think FL's setup is the same solenoid type as mine, an improvement over the diverter valve approach. I think the rocker switch might be even a little more convenient than the buttons, but now I'm getting picky.
I can't find my paperwork from the install, but the loader handle/switch can't have been more than $100 or so, and I'd put the solenoid around $150-200. Hoses, fittings, labor extra of course.
And as much as I hesitate to be on the other side of the fence from a Nasa engineer, I find this setup indispensible. Bear in mind, I use mine almost daily in my business, and the task is always the same. As I said, I'm constantly using a loader function while simultaneously opening or closing the grapple, all without taking my right hand off the control. But can I build a space shuttle, or put a man on the moon? No. Not even close. I do plan to install my own steering wheel spinner though. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Good luck as you "grapple" with this decision, John D.
