I posted this question in another thread but haven't gotten a response yet -- I'm hoping someone can take a quick look at the shocks on a 2017 or earlier toolcat and let me know if a manufacturer and serial number is imprinted there. The aftermarket shocks that I have on mine do not list anything. Really would appreciate any help!

I went out and looked at my 2017 and couldn't find any identifier markings. I even crawled around with a mirror and light.....no luck.:confused3:

Thanks Ruffdog! I appreciate the input. These shocks on the front axle assembly are hard to come by, anyone else have a chance to see if there are any markings detailing manufacturer or PN?

The front and rear shock/spring units are the same. The old pn was 6688831 and the new pn is 7224425.

Thanks! Do you know who the manufacturer is? I am trying to get the specs to see if there are aftermarket alternatives.

No I don't but man, they would have to be HD considering the use they get.

Has anyone had any update on ToolCat shocks. Bobcat website stated "out of stock". Hoping there is an alternative that has been identified by now. Thanks. I have 2 that are froze up/bent (were like that when I bought the machine and trying to restore it).

They had 1 available. Keep thinking there should be an aftermarket version available? Even some type of air shock/bag as a replacement?

I just went out again and I now see one shock has a bunch of stamping on the body but the spring and tire make it difficult to see. I'll pull the wheel and see what I can get.

I searched on line and am coming up with nothing. This is what I saw on the shock. Without pulling it and looking at it in nice light, I'm 90% the numbers are correct. The stamping was toward the back so I had to use my assortment of lights and mirrors.

Edit...I know Belltech is a common company (shock says BULLTECH)and I double checked everything to try to find something on-line...nothing.

Maybe a Turkish company?

Have you been able to get the shock out of the spring?

I haven't tried that yet. What are you thinking? Possible replacement of part of the shock. That could be an idea? A couple of mine have bent rods. The toolcat was not treated kindly before I got it.

Right, take the shock to an auto parts store, see if they would have a shock that would fit.
