Can't say for sure. Didn't look too close after I heard the price. Had decals on the rear of the fenders and a second shift type lever to the left the main one. Interior was nearly spotless though. Bright red too. I'd like to have it, but just can't swing it knowing what the insurance would be also. With a loan, it'd need full coverage.

Toyota replaced them all under warranty for Generation 1 Tundra 2000-2006 and they are still doing Tacoma's today - under warranty.

Toyota's are not perfect and we got rid of a 2017 Taco and very, very glad to see it go. Got a new Ranger to replace it with and LOVE it! :thumbsup:

Tacoma is a great truck out of the salt states. I fail them for state inspections around 60K miles.
Front brakes/calipers at 45K, exhaust at 50K, rear drum brakes almost never.
Very reliable except for rust problems. All the new frames are coming from Mexico.
I could never understand why any company would build a truck with a 16 gauge stamped rear diff carrier and a garbage frame.

My buddy had one, 1977 model, and between the old 6 banger not wanting to run, and the sheet metal rotting out, the only good parts were the trans and axles

I, rather my wife, has a 1996 Toyota Tacoma. we've had it for at least 15 years. Great truck. Sound mechanically. Other than brakes, tires, oil and gas, no other maintenance on this one. I only wish it were a little longer in the cab. I am 6'2" and it is a little cramped for me. Wife is 5'2" and loves her truck.
