Neighbor attacked by Pit Bulls

If I had a nickle for every time I have been told that a dogs mouth is much cleaner than a humans I would have a pocketful of nickles. I think about the times I have seen dogs clean the kitty litter box of "tootsie rolls" and eat other nasty things. and say.. "yeah sure".

There was a dog attack on an elderly woman early this week that made me think of this thread. Wayne County woman suffers 'drastic' injuries after dog attack :: WRAL.com

The 71 year old woman was working her yard early in the morning when the neighbors four Pit Bulls got loose and attacked the lady and her dog. She has six chunks of flesh missing and hundreds of puncture wounds and gashes. Her dog was also attacked and had to be put down from it's injuries. The woman is lucky to be alive. Police shot and killed one of the dogs when it went after an officer.

The attack happened at 0645 in the morning.

When we got our Golden , my kids were told that if the dog ever was vicious he would be destroyed . It really upsets me when I see all the poor quality of owners . I feel for the innocent people who get injured from dog attacks. I was bitten when I was young , I have never forgotten how much it hurt.

Here is why I was carrying in the first place, This is right off my front porch. Caught a few pictures of this bruin around the house lately.


And just an hour or so later my little Boston Terrier is out for a run.
