I know lots of people who do not have the same skill set with a chain saw as some of the rest of us, if they are not comfortable cutting a tree down, they should not attempt it

Not you.......

Thanks. I wouldn't consider it an insult, but I would be kinda disappointed. I've always seen myself as middle of the road with fiscal conservative leanings.

Back to the discussion of being nosy neighbors.

I know you feel that way about yourself, but many libs do not see them selves as libs either.......

;)

One thing about conservatives......

we are loud and proud!

Have you seen this property? Have you any shred of credible evidence that the owner disturbed the roots to the extent you describe? No you don’t!

See post #1.

FYI: A person having the right to be secure in their home (or barn), free to pursue their happiness without the threat of their neighbor’s actions crashing on their head is a very conservative principle.
....same with not being responsible to clean up your neighbor’s mess. Don’t give me the “it takes a village” “we should all clean up somebody else’s mess” liberal B.S.

Well, if they’re zero facts anymore, and everything is fake news, and nothing can be believed; why are we even having a discussion?
That makes all discussions, news, and conversations pointless doesn’t it?
Maybe there’s a YouTube video somewhere that can prove it was the OP who really dug the ditch!

My apologies. I searched the thread for "pictures" not "pics". Post 10 makes one request, not many. By saying the OP won't post pictures after many requests just wasn't true. Paint's him in a bad light, especially in the context of how it was posted.

To your questions, of course pictures help to illustrate a situation.
Someone already beat me to the reply about requesting pictures.

But now you're just putting words in my mouth. Never did I say the OP wouldn't post pictures. I simply stated the fact that he hadn't. Big difference. Read carefully.

I have seen both. The only thing around one tree was a chicken coop. The guy on the chainsaw hits it squarely. But my friend who grew up cutting firewood (a son of the US forestry service trainer) can cut a leaning tree and have it land 90 degrees to where nature would have it fall.

Every time I read a thread like this I thank my lucky stars for the neighbors I have. We can talk to each other about anything that concerns us. I have easement through his property for my driveway and we share maintenance including purchase of crushed limestone. In the 20 years we've been neighbors we've never had a problem. I told him I want the opportunity to buy him out if he decides to sell and I trust that I will get that opportunity.
