Never said I was on his property, and I did speak to the owner and he admitted he didn't know what to do, only had to tap him twice an the occasionally puff in the dirt. Dogs like people need different amount of discipline, just like the nuns whacking me, I needed it. In Florida outside the cities dog running on your property with no owner in site is free to be shot. Years ago we had some dogs killing cattle, farmer drove down our road and shot every dog runny loose, even though it didn't stop the killing. Moral keep your pets, you control them and if you don't someone's might be more severe. That pack of dogs on Christmas night about 3am jump my rotty over some steak bones from xmas dinner left over, when I went out and put two rounds in the air the three turned on me, I took two out fired high on the third but he left. Me and roy the rotty backed up to large oak tree as I crammed more rounds in shotgun, finally sat down and looked him over lots of blood but only found a few punctures on him. Me I had skinned knuckles from running the slide and holding a three cell light. A Xmas and a dog I will always remember. Turned out to be my neighbors dogs, I never told him he was already crazy and committed suicide within the year. Isn't life strange.
You admittedly said you pointed something that could be identified as a gun at someone’s property. Also you didn’t say you talked to anyone just to go and do it. That scenario you first described would have any of my neighbors taking drastic action. Meaning the use of a real gun and then simply telling the police you pointed it at them.
Discipline is indeed needed but what you are telling people to do is not discipline it’s abuse and as far as I can understand you could go to jail for what your telling people to do if the wrong people hear about it.
Me for one would be glad to convict you for it if I sat on a jury!
