I do believe my Ford NAA Jubilee is 100% North America... but I have been wrong before.

I am POSITIVE that my 1951 8N Ford was 100% made in the USA!

I was in India in 2018. On the highway in the Province of Rajasthan I saw many semi trailers loaded with tractors. There were trucks carrying Massey Fergusons, New Hollands and John Deere tractors.

The VIN number should tell you in what country a tractor was assembled/manufactured.

Lots of "ifs", "but's" and "maybe's" trying to discover who built the engine/transmission and if it was built by a third party under license.

It's the way of the world these days in a cut-throat market.

Wow!! That pic at the bottom of your post needs to be in the hauling or towing something wrong thread.

I have been waiting almost a year for a glass door my "LG" tractor. This is what LS used to call themselves.
Not only have I been waiting for a year for this thing but they sent two others saying they are the correct one to the dealer only to find out that neither of them were correct. Both had the wrong mounting holes on one of the two was for the other side.
I also needed a roof cover for the airconditioning opening but they couldn't even tell me what the part number was.

I can go to the dealer of the "Green and yellow" tractors and still get parts for 50 year old tractors.....because they are built in America.

LS (Literally Sucks.)

So never again will I buy NOR WILL I RECOMMEND on of their tractors. Getting the tractor is one thing but getting support is a totally different story.
They take you money and run!!!

Glenn.

I don't understand this on several levels.

First off, it's not the responsibility of LS to stock parts for a machine they made for somebody else UNDER CONTRACT.

Then, there's the fact that you bought a pricer tractor. Were you not aware that it was THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper than the snot-colored one? Are you not willing to accept responsibility for your own financial decisions?

And why couldn't you have fabricated something for your cab that would have worked? And how did it get broken in the first place? Don't they have glass dealers around you?

Your complaints about LS are irrational, IMHO.

Talk to me when you've got a million dollar machine sitting in a field, broke down, while your crops rot and the snot-colored dealer will get to it when he gets to it. And there's nothing you can do about it because you're electronically locked out of it. Of course, you can always load it up on a low-boy, in pieces, and ship it to the snot-colored dealer and let him work on it there. When he gets around to it.

Or you could demand your PIN Codes (that you paid for) so you can work on the snot-colored machine yourself (or through an Indie Mechanic) and watch him laugh in your face.

But you wanna complain about a door? Made twelve years ago? For somebody else's branded tractor??

I don't mind people venting but this is just.......

Have to agree...

I was wondering why he couldn't have a piece of Plexi-glass or Lexan cut and installed in the frame at a window door shop?

If the Montana (contract) tractor had a unique cab door compared to the standard LS door glass.

The title of this thread is a bit over the top imo...

(Never buy a Korean Tractor!! Especially LS or whatever their name is this year)

Nothing in this thread would dissuade me in the future from considering buying a smaller 30-40 hp Korean made Branson, TYM/RK, Kioti or LS.

Who knows- LS may still come thru on finding the correct part # piece

A non functioning tractor is a bigger headache for sure.

I do believe my Ford NAA Jubilee is 100% North America... but I have been wrong before.

When I see things like the Jubilee I wonder, was it an accident? If it were intentional why wouldn't Ford replicate it with every model? The things I think about.

The Jubilee is a Queen. A very productive tractor that is a joy to use. I always felt good when I used it. Very rarely disappointed in what it could do.

You probly should hang on to it. :)

If you ever want to expand your hauling knowledge, go to that part of the world.

I've got a pic somewhere that I took in Iraq of a 4dr toyota pickup hauling 8 sheep standing in the back with no bed rack, hauling butt down the hardball.

After we bombed most of the rest of the world's industrial capacity into rubble, almost everything was made in America.

I remember the 8N well. There may have been a Jubilee running around somewhere. Don't know fer sure.

My Dad was a Farmall kinda guy. The Fords were probably a little better all things considered (better engines, 3 point hitch, etc). I remember the steel seats in those old-timers. And the 6 volt electrical system ( at least in ours) and the brakes worked when they were in the mood. Sometimes. And the PTO on ours back then wasn't a 'live' PTO. Got jammed into a tree more than once while bush-hogging.

I wish Ford and IH were still as active today. Competition is a good thing.

Today's tractors are a delight compared to the older ones. The really great thing about the old tractors???

We were decades younger back then. Butts made of iron. :cool2:

Hopefully the 8N folks won't take offense. The difference between the 8N and Jubilee is huge. Much improvement and productivity.

I sold my 8N long ago, with no cows to chase, it wasn't much good around here...
