New 2305! I'm an idiot...

Congrats on the new machine, enjoy! My wife gave me a hard time with my purchase when I was researching it. When it came time to pull the trigger she was pretty good about it but she guilted me out of getting the TLB model. A few weeks ago, as we were talking about doing some landscape/drainage projects she says "I wish we got the tractor with the backhoe...". It's a good thing I lover her. It's also a god thing my neighbor has a TLB. Either way, I owe her a big sparkly ring next year as well...

That is a great story. Thanks for sharing. I think eventually your wife will start giving you a list she wants done. You will be able to say with a sad face: OK honey. Then go out in the garage and grin the whole time you are running that tractor.

The tractor was one of the few things my wife doesn't give me much grief about. She grew up on a farm also and I think she knows there are some things you just can't fight. Other things require a different strategy. I keep the new Mig welder in the back of the shed and she doesn't go there. I picked up the 16 ft trailer used for less than half of what she expected me to spend. I remind her that the log splitter cost less than her vacuum cleaner. I may be able to hide the plasma cutter when I get it, but I haven't worked out the plan for the lawn aerator. :laughing:

We don't farm for a living so, anything I buy is a new toy for me. Wife never spends a dime. I figured out, if I make it, I am home in the garage and she never see's a big bill. Just lots and lots of small bills and forever wondering where the money went. Thanks for making me google 2305. Nice. Try not to smile till your mouth hurts and let her play with the tractor too.

Great story Hink, enjoy that 2305, hopefully the wait doesn't kill ya too much....

My situation with the SWMBO was one of "Let's go get that new tractor honey" so I didn't have a problem ordering one when she got to go shopping for one with me......

the problem was last year at this time (May 7th) my new tractor was delivered on HER birthday....

A wise man once told me "A happy wife is a happy life"......Maybe a diamond mining career in your back yard could be very productive......:thumbsup:
