So Rockyridge, are you putting the 4310 up for sale? Starting a 4120 club?

Nah, I'm waitin' to look at the 3x20's... Besides MissusRR rode a 185Hp water pump this weekend, and now she wants another toy...

Great Article... One question... in the article it appears that the new loader is compared to the current 430 loader ( Both offer improved performance over their older (but smaller) brothers, the 430 front-end loader and 48 backhoe.
) I think it should be compared to the 460 loader that its supposed to replace.

Thanks for covering the new model launch so well - this would be a great feature for all the new brands/models that are out. In the past few months both NH and Kioti have hit the market with some nice looking new products.

Take Care, and thanks again for keeping this website going... it's appreciated! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Note the 86.3 ft-lbs @2600 rpm is one of several Deere-isms they've printed over the years. It appears to be copied from Yanmar industrial diesel output charts for the 4TNE88 in generator duty rating (which is only about 43.5 hp).

If the CUT style peak 48 hp rating is correct for the 4710 (and consistent with other CUT rating methods) - then the 4710's torque is 97 ft-lbs @ 2600 rpm., not 86.3.

Likewise, if the 4320 delivers 48.1 at 2400 rpm then that = 105.3 ft lbs.

So the 4320 delivers a 17% peak torque increase and an 8.6% torque increase with the engine at PTO speed over the 4710. So, definitely more period, and a better torque rise as well than the 4710, but not quite the huge 47% increase that it first seemed!
