I DO have the Global Carrier. My dealer mentioned this option, but I was never able to find any info about it on the Deere website. Would you happen to have a link?

I was thinking you had skid steer, my bad :ashamed:

The option for the Global Carrier was BW15503 for the 563 and 673 loaders BW number my be different now for your loader. Instead of having to pull the disconnect lever on the carrier to change implements there is a hydraulic cylinder that does it for you. The electrical part is a solinoid valve that switches the hydraulic function from the dump/curl to this cylinder. I'll try and find a link. I used to be able to bring it up on JD's website in "build your own" But that will not work for me anymore. I click on it and get a "hand with a yellow crack thru it"

I don't think it was that much.

2 Function Mid-Mount Quick Couplers are in the base price. 3 Function Mid-Mount Quick Couplers adds $194.

3 Function Single Point Hydraulic Connection (Tractor Half and Loader Half) is $391.00. So the cost to upgrade from 3 Function Mid-Mount to 3 Function single point is only $197.00. Of course if you add it after the fact, it would be a lot more (probably in the $800 range you mention).

$200 or $400 for MultiCoupler at time of purchase is a DEAL!!!!!

I know they changed it for the H series loaders and now it's capable of connecting electrical too. So I think it would cost more than the hydraulic only that AK and I have.

For my John Deere 640 Loader, from Parts:
AW32098 Fixed half 2 function $777
DC52731 Coupler (need two to make above 3 function $119 each, two $238
AW31305 Mobile half 2 function $651
AW34846 coupler need two to make above 3 function $70 each, two $140
AW31340 mounting bracket $43
If you want those NEAT colored rings, 2 green and 2 orange, they are $5 each so add $20 more.
To buy everything from parts $1743 and tax additional.

Hmmm... I didn't major in math; but, using your numbers - you HAVE to order the 3 function mid-mount valve (mounted on the tractor frame, below the cab) AND the single-point connection AND the hard line loader extension with the single-point connector at the end of the loader boom (near the bucket).

So, without including the loader lines and boom connector; (your numbers) it's $585.

Thanks for the information about the single-point connection. You would think that I would have an actual printed out invoice with each and every line item clearly enumerated with its associated JD number, but that is not the way my salesman works. I must say, in retrospect I was blessed to have such a good salesman for my Bobcat A300 purchase. That salesman went over every detail, and explained every option, how it worked and how it might benefit me, or not. One other thing that was great about that salesman, right up to the point he left that dealership, was that he would return my calls seven days a week within an hour. I never abused that benefit with him, but in a few cases it was really valuable.

Anyway, my plan is to be able to remove the loader easily, so that during the many hours that I will be using the tractor for mowing and hay cutting, raking etc. the tractor will be that much more compact. I still intend to have the single-point connection.

A question I have for you guys is: how often do you remove your loaders, and for what purposes? Also, how much weight do you then add when the loader is off?

You are probably right, but I thought that I would only need these 2 items:

And NOT this item. In fact, the online configurator won't let you select it if you already picked the single point.

And I thought ordering the following option would include the hard line loader extension with the single point connector as I don't see that as a separate option.

I'll call my dealer to make sure tomorrow. After all this wait, I sure would hate for things not to be right when they finally come in.

You were very lucky to work with that gentleman...

I drop my loader often! My fields are small and the areas I have to work in are... compact. The 5000 series is right on the edge of being -- right off the edge! :D

So, the loader gets parked until I need it.

Mowing, raking, tedding, baling - no loader. Rototilling, meri-crusher - no loader.

The heaviest implements that I use are mostly semi-mount types; disc mower conditioner. The tiller is only around a ~1,000lbs and the meri-crusher is around 2K. I go slow and leave it close to the ground. No front weights.

I too take my loader off a lot. not sure the number of times, but it's easy to remove, so why have it on when you aren't going to us it?. I really notice the difference in manuvorablity and visability without the loader on. The few times I've been in a hurry and just dropped the bucket, I later wished I'd taken the whole loader off. The boom still blocks vision and sticks way out in front. I've mainly brush hogged or pulled a wagon, so no front weights. I also used a 3 bottom plow without problems. If am using it to pull small trees, etc I leave the loader on. I do not have any front weights for the 2030

The JD6415 has a 90kg (198lb) starter weight already on it and I have (8) 47kg (103lb) front weights for for when I get heavier implements.

Just a GUESS ;) in my part.
Code 3555 gives you the hoses from the mid valve to what ever couplers are optioned and then to the loader.
Code 4556 is multicoupler; tractor and loader halves
Code 2532 is MSL cost over std AND third function parts. Hard to believe $1093 for some hose, short little hard lines, a bracket and two quick coupler for third function.

Let us know what the dealer has to say.
