1959 Allis Chalmers D14
Just picked up a 2000 hour AGCO 5670 4x4. Excited to get it home. Grew up farming with Allis Chalmers D14, D14, D17, 185. I know it's actually built by SAME.

Wondering if you have any advice of things to check over closely when I get it home. Planned to take off engine shroud to clean cooling fins and check the fan drive belt, change fluids etc. anything else?

Thanks in advance, I'm sure there will be more 😊

Had the chance to do some bush hogging. Great power and economy. Engine oil and filter changed. Hyd filters ordered. Fan belt in good condition. Small weep around the PTO, probably needs a new seal.

4 brand new tires was really pleased with the tractor. Now I just hope I can find parts when needed!

Any used tractor I have purchased I strip all the sheet metal off and do a through inspection and cleaning and change all fluid and filters. Glad your purchase is working out good.

Making sure no leaks after repairs and cleaning.

I have four AGCO Allis tractors, they have nothing to do with Allis Chalmers.

They ARE very good tractors, good low-end torque and good fuel economy.

I buy my parts/filters from my AGCO dealer, but oil filters are available at NAPA.

Thanks for the input. I want to start getting lights working. Read a few times that the Same aren't known for great wiring. Before I tear the whole console out, could you tell me where the fuse panel is located? Looking from under the dash, all I see is fuel tank. Thanks!

I have 3 AGCO tractors and I like them a LOT. Excellent AG dealer support and lots of great features.
Never overlook AGCO or Massey tractors.

I found it! On the firewall right above the engine. Looks like European style fuses.
