New AutoHST

I am all for innovation, but, the AutoHST will have a very small market for those that find it an advantage over what is currently available.

Why is it offered only with the 3570 & 3720? Makes me wonder if it requires more HP which, if this is the case, means more diesel fuel. Not good at current fuel prices.

You can still get the E-Hydro system just like you all are use to, don't worry about that...this is just another option to help people feel more comfortable driving a tractor...your beloved 2-pedal setup is safe!
It will be interesting to see how much this option sells. I guess if you have a kid and want to start the driving lessons this might be a good way to do it.

Daydeamer. Just these two model at this time because they are the most popular in the mid chassis line up and they are testing the waters at this point to see how well it is received. It doen't require any more HP than the current EHYDRO .
It is based on the EHYDRO system. Kubota is coming out with or has come out with a similar version so some one must have asked for this product. As a company they must try to have a solution for every one. Nothings worse than losing a sale to another brand tractor when you feel yours is superior.

Kubota's Auto-HST has been out for a year, its only an additional function of the standard hydrostatic. Its not a control setup like this. No doubt Deere realized that people are latching onto the idea and like it, maybe this is the only way they could avoid patent problems?

So this is still a hydrostatic right? Its not a CVT or an cheaper implementation of an IVT?

To my knowledge it uses the same e-hydro pump with a different electronic controler. Kind of like a electronic shuttle shift with and attached throttle control.

Dang !
I was hoping someone finally came out with a real shuttle for a CUT !

Obviously the "city boy" option. :D But, I have seen folks that can't seem to grasp the two pedal thing, as simple as it is. They would never, ever, get "turning brakes", so no loss there.

I'd take it as a nice addition to help get new people into tractors that are intimidated by them. Not for me or the rest of us "1%-er's" on boards such as this, but probably just the ticket for some people.

All those doctors buying "farmettes" in the country need to run tractors too I guess!

What do you think the Deere Power Reverser is?? The best I have seen for loader work!!

it would seem to be more than just a two pedal thing. Safety would come to mind step on the pedal when running machine moves put in neutral step on pedal nothing. Here is a excerpt from the manual seems to have additional features that Ehydro might not have.....

Using Cruise Control (Automotive Cruise Control)

NOTE: The cruise control is only operational when the machine is traveling forward.

Engaging Cruise Control
1. Select forward direction using reverser lever.

2. Depress travel pedal until desired travel speed is reached.

3. Fully depress top of cruise control switch to engage cruise control.

4. Fully depress bottom of Res/Set switch.

Instrument panel cruise control indicator light will illuminate when cruise control is activated.

5. Release travel pedal.

6. Adjust maximum travel speed:

Fully depress top of accel/decel switch repeatedly to increase speed by increments.

Fully depress bottom of accel/decel switch repeatedly to decrease speed by increments.

NOTE: Machine must be moving forward, not stopped, for resume function to operate.

7. Fully depress top of accel/decel switch to resume cruise speed after cruise control has been disengaged.

Disengaging Cruise Control
NOTE: The machine will stop if cruise control is disengaged while the machine is in motion. To maintain forward motion, depress the travel pedal before disengaging cruise control.

1. Fully depress bottom of cruise switch to return switch to middle position, or depress the brake pedal.

Instrument panel cruise control indicator light should go out when the cruise control is disengaged.

Using SpeedMatch Option
SpeedMatch enables the operator to set the maximum travel speed for the machine. Full pedal travel distance can be used to control machine travel speed between stop and the desired maximum travel speed.

1. Depress travel pedal until desired maximum travel speed is reached.

2. Fully depress bottom of cruise switch to activate speedmatch function.

3. Fully depress bottom of accel/decel switch to set maximum travel speed.

4. Release travel pedal. Completely depress travel pedal to achieve desired maximum speed.

5. Adjust maximum travel speed:

Fully depress top of accel/decel switch repeatedly to increase speed by increments.

Fully depress bottom of accel/decel switch repeatedly to decrease speed by increments.

6. Fully depress top of cruise switch to return switch to middle position and disengage speedmatch.

Using MotionMatch
MotionMatch enables the operator to adjust machine acceleration and deceleration rates. Shorter starting and stopping distances can be set for applications requiring rapid changes in direction, such as operating with a loader. Longer starting and stopping distances can be set to avoid turf damage in other applications.

A MotionMatch setting of 1 is the shortest rolling (starting/stopping) distance, and a setting of 9 is the longest rolling (starting/stopping) distance.

1. Fully depress top of MotionMatch switch for quicker acceleration/deceleration response levels, and to reduce machine starting/stopping distances.

2. Fully depress bottom of MotionMatch switch for slower acceleration/deceleration response levels, and to increase machine starting/stopping distances.

Changing MotionMatch Setting
1. Press and hold the display mode switch until the display reads è¿*elease?

2. Release the display mode switch and display should read 鼎oast?

3. Press the display mode switch once again.

4. For machines without MotionMatch switch:

a. Push the turn signal switch and return to neutral position to change to desired setting between 1 and 9. Position 5 is displayed as æ³¥EF? the factory default.

5. For machines with MotionMatch switch:

a. Push the turn signal switch and return to neutral position to change to desired setting between 5 and 9. Position 5 is displayed as ONG_D? the factory default.

b. Push the turn signal switch and return to neutral position to change to desired setting between 1 and 5. Position 5 is displayed as 鉄HRT_D? the factory default.

6. To confirm the changes for MotionMatch setting, press display mode switch once again.

Using LoadMatch
LoadMatch enables the operator to prevent the engine stalling during heavy load applications such as operating with a loader.

1. Fully depress top of Loadmatch switch to engage LoadMatch.

2. Fully depress bottom of Loadmatch switch to disengage LoadMatch.

Take the existing Ehydro twin pedal system, add a switchabble (on/off) link between throttle and hydo and THEN you have the ultimate. Throttle high manual when you want and flip a switch to match engine to machine speed.

Range shift on the fly would be nice and/or maybe a "back gear" direct drive setup for road gear rather than hydro operation. Just dreaming out loud...
