I see a thumb on the new bh65 backhoe. Does anyone know if they offer one for the bh75 that fits the 2630/3030?

Re: the B2920

The PTO HP: Weight ratio is excellent. Very close to the JD-955 but more modern.

This should be a heck of a tractor!

I hope they don't over price it.

I'm kinda surprised at the new B series. For their first update in five years or so I would have thought Kubota would have leapfrogged the competition but they really have just done a fairly small update.

Best new feature is the 3 speed hydro. That will put pressure on Kioti to upgrade their two speed.

Loader offerings are still anemic on the new B. The 22hp Kioti has a stronger loader than offered on the 29hp Kubota.

Kubota kept the quarter inching valve!!!!!   (Art you win!)

I guess they know their market however and that market seems to be light suburban mowing machines on steroids. The B's are great at that job, none better. This update is hardly a Kioti CK killer though.

Kioti's loader specs are quite impressive, however my guess is that the precentage of their tractor weight that they will lift is probably pretty close. Given similar hydraulic pumps, and line sizes, engineers can pretty much do what they want with hydraulics. Both companies probably consider closely the size, and weight of the platform doing the supporting when they spec the loaders. I personally would be very, very careful with 1000 lbs nearly 90 inches in the air sitting on a platform the size of a CK20. Would the CK20 be better for moving some of my rocks? You bet, but I would keep them pretty low, and move very carefully on uneven ground. Too, some specs are more conservative than others.......... for whatever reason. The rock in the attached picture is certainly more than 700 lbs, or so.

(By the way, I am a fan of the CK20, and it is one of the tractors I'm considering purchasing)

The CK20 does have impressive specs for such a little motor, but it is the exception.

The CK25 & CK30 spec out pretty much the same as Kubota's B2630 & B3030, but are substantially heavier than the Kubs - good in some situations, bad in others. Out here, the Kiotis sell for more than the Kubotas. These 4 machines are a different class than the new B's from Kubota, and therefore, should be more powerful.

The CK20, though impressive in it's capacities, would be anemic in the engine power department up at my elevation. For example, if I could get the load into the FEL, I'd have a lot of difficulty moving that weight with that little hp, taking into account the hp loss at 8500' above sea level. I also couldn't run the same size brush hog as one of these new B's could on my mountain property.

Most CK20 owners use a 48" bush hog. That size BH doesn't strain the CK20's 22hp at all really so even with high elevation it should be fine. I suspect the 23 and 26 hp Kubotas would likely take the same size if you discount HP a bit. The 29 should handle a 5ft hog even at elevation.

I think the one real plus the new B series has over the CK20 is the three speed hydro. The CK has plenty of grunt with the low range but the high range is mostly useful for traveling or light mowing on flat areas. The middle range on the B series will likely be very useful for faster mowing on hills etc.

At 8500 ft, my calculator says that your 22hp engine will loose 5.61 bhp. On your island, that tractor produces just under 74% of that hp at the pto. Running a couple of numbers there results in roughly 12.13 pto hp at 8500 ft. You are right Island, that is a pretty potent setup for high altitude use.

Really? The "B" series is by far the #1 tractor in S. Washington and N. Oregon. The B7800 is the #1 selling tractor for it's size. Guess there are a lot of stupid people that work for Microsoft, Boeing and Intel...

Kioti sells less new units then John Deere sells used tracotrs! I respect John Deere, I would rather have a good used John Deere then a new Kioti.

BTW-Kubota outsells John Deere in CUT is Oregon or Washington.
