Buying Advice New B2650 - is this normal, or am I being picky?

Probably a bit OCD but I couldn't live with the untrimmed zip ties even realizing that trimmed ones leave sharp edges.
It's like guys that don't trim the excess length off of their guitar strings. :)

npalen - I can see your point. Just nip them off "up tight" and they probably won't be a problem. Need to move one - cut it off and simply replace with a new one.

#4 is the only thing i'd be having a problem with.
#2 no issue. it'll spend most of the time laying around someplace.

Looks like a crappy dealer to me with a lack of "attention to detail."

Hey, you guys ain't seen nothing. My dealer had to take my recent purchase back five times to correct defects in the assembly of the B2650 with a FEL and a MMM. I lost my cool before it was all over. It's a great machine now that I and and dealer have corrected the defects....which were too numerous to list here.

Quick update on this. I talked to the dealer and

1. He offered to replace loader bucket if I want. I'm going to put a piranha bar on it anyway so the only potential issue would be if I have trouble getting it to fit.
2. Box scraper will be replaced with orange one when they get one in
3. I didn't mention the zip ties
4. He asked for pics on the scratches which I sent but I told him in all honesty it's not that bad. I think they'd replace the hood if I whined but I'm going to let it go, I'll certainly be doing much worse to it than that.
5. I didn't mention the dirt/dust

The other thing I forgot to mention in my original post is the tractor had 1.1 hours on it when delivered. That seems a bit much to me for "new" one but maybe that's not unusual and obviously is nothing in the bigger picture.

Very happy with the 2650. Just slightly disappointed with the lack of attention on dealers part, but I'm already over it. It's time to put it to work!

Glad to hear you got satisfaction, and remember every purchase can have a few bumps at the start. It's the long term that matters - and as you say, as soon as you put it to work it'll have bumps and bangs on it. Have fun with your new tractor.

:laughing::laughing: I've bought over 20 new Kubotas and your complaints are :laughing::laughing:. If you want an orange box blade it looks like the dealer is resolving that. Most buyers would never mention it if they picked a box blade and he had the Landpride color on his lot and that's what he delivered. You might should have looked at what you were buying before you bought it. No, I don't wax my Kubotas and let the rain wash them.

Very smart way to handle all this. You did it the right way, there's no bad blood and you'll likely never have a problem again.
