:laughing::laughing: I've bought over 20 new Kubotas and your complaints are :laughing::laughing:. If you want an orange box blade it looks like the dealer is resolving that. Most buyers would never mention it if they picked a box blade and he had the Landpride color on his lot and that's what he delivered. You might should have looked at what you were buying before you bought it. No, I don't wax my Kubotas and let the rain wash them.

That was why I asked if I was being picky or if it was normal, but maybe by my 20th I'll be able to :laughing::laughing: about it instead. For whatever it's worth I did look at it before I bought it, every tractor on the lot with a blade had an orange one. Appreciate the feedback though.

AZBen, I think that after buying 20 Kubota's :laughing::laughing: one would have some experience in getting it right.
Cheers,
Mike

#4 is the one I would complain about.

With the new information that what you saw mounted on the lot had all oranges then I to would ask for a swap of dull yellow to a bright orange. I had a B2650 and my nephew just bought one B2650 FEL MMM last week from Barlows to add to his L2501, RTV1100, Z121, BX1870 and he has only been buying for a bit over a year. Great tractor for its size and weight. It's a bit more deluxe than the heavier more HP L3901 that I traded it to/for. I needed more weight and hP due to buying an additional 28 acres (25 Mountain woods).

1. Loader bucket is tweaked about 1/2" near the middle.
2. Box scraper purchased at same time is not painted orange. Very disappointed about this one.
3. Valves added by dealer were zip tied (which is fine) but not trimmed off. Yes, this is probably being very picky but it shows me lack of attention to detail.
4. A few scratches on the hood, probably from fueling hose being dragged across it. Two big areas in pics below are reflections, scratches look yellow.
5. Unit as delivered was "Arizona dirty" (dusty and dried rain splatter). Again picky, it cleaned up very nicely, but attention to detail. Would have expected dealer to give it a quick wipe before delivery.

My BX2380 loader bucket was bowed, low in the middle, corners high off the ground. I made the dealer replace it. We walked the yard, most new buckets were bowed some worse than others, we found a flat one. My B2920 bucket was flat as a pancake. My hood had 3-4 areas of scratches where some idiot scrubbed with a scotch bright pad, pretty annoying but I accepted it. The BX2380 they had assembled and ready for delivery had several severe scratches and one serious dent in the rear fender, I told the dealer about it while declining to purchase that unit, he was miffed that his guys didn't catch that dent during assembly. We picked out a new tractor still in the shipping crate.

Overall yes not like buying a new car, scratches, dirt, rust, pretty common. It can be worse on implements my Land Pride quick hitch had deep scratches into exposed metal.

I wash and clean up my machines to keep them as good looking as possible, for as long as possible. Plus it make maintenance easier. Put a nice crease in the left fender this weekend though. They don't look new forever.

Good luck with the new B!

The Kubota dealer that hasn't figured out that Kubota buyers are more demanding better figure it out if they want to stay in business. They're good for the money, loyal and brand promoting, but almost all want reliable, good looking equipment, good service and no monkey business or they'll leave you.

Well I guess I may the odd man here-but those scratches would bother me. My tractor is a big investment for me, and I keep it clean, maintained, and waxed. I just sold my 2009 B2620 to one of my brother's customers. When he brought the man up to look at it, he said "I think we have a misunderstanding-I can't afford a nearly new tractor."

It'd bother me, and the dealer shouldn't have done it. The question though was, once you've got it home and used it already, would you pick a fight with the dealer over it. My answer to that was no, I'd get over it, because I'd probably scratch it myself anyway. But next time I got something at that dealer I'd go over it with a fine tooth comb before it came home.

It does not surprise me that your dealer sent a Land Pride yellow BB along with your new Kubota unless you specified you wanted it to be Kubota orange. Kubota corporation purchased Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. along with their Land Pride division two years ago. It's now normal for Kubota dealers to stock Land Pride implements in yellow since Kubota owns the company.

Also, I wouldn't have cut those zip ties even if they weren't reusable for the very reason oosik stated. I learned from experience.

The bucket being tweaked a 1/2" is normal and most likely withing their manufacturing tolerances.

I do think the dealer should have done a thorough cleaning of the tractor and perhaps would have spotted those scratches and done something about them before delivery.

In any case, enjoy your new tractor and don't sweat the small stuff. ;)
