New BH70 backhoe on my Kubota B2601

Is this only if the dealer does the install? If you have to pay them to transport the tractor to the shop, do the install, and deliver back then I can totally see that being true.

I'd like to think that the dealer could load the "crated" backhoe and subframe on your trailer and just complete the install yourself at home to actually save considerable $.

Buying the backhoe after the tractor purchase, is the same as buying any individual tractor implement.
With the initial large purchase, you as a buyer will have some pricing leverage, on a package deal.
Without that leverage, you will pay whatever the dealer asks for the backhoe, or you will not be buying a backhoe.
Depending on the brand, and size hoe, could be $1,000+ price difference.

Speaking from a dealership perspective I doubt many dealers would agree to install a backhoe start to finish at a customer's location.
Buying after the initial purchase would carry a financial penalty in most cases.

I just wanted to make sure it was an option later, unlike the BX where its machine specific from my limited understanding.
the dealer doesnt have a BH70 in stock to package with the machine anyways or I'd prob give it more thought to add right now. Getting the tractor to them later isnt a big deal. I think I will have to bring it back anyways to have them install the rear remotes which also arent in stock. But they actually have a 2601 there in the crate, and not many dealers around here do. kind of crazy. Thanks for all the input guys.

Nothing prevents you from negotiating the backhoe now and folding it into whatever finance deal you may be getting. Surely the interest rate will be better bundled with the tractor. If you can transport the tractor that's in your favor, be sure to mention that.

I was told that if the "accessory" has a serial number, that it must be physically present upon delivery in order to include it with the financing package. So both the snow blower and backhoe are not able to be included. It's easy to go nuts with zero percent money so maybe its for the better ;)

You can add it later. There is a YOUTUBE video of the dealer installing
it to a B2601.

Could the OP or someone address what's involved in adding the backhoe in terms of other necessary mods? Like seat and maybe ROPS. I was looking at my B2601 and adding a backhoe seems like it would come with lots of extra work/costs.

From what the dealer told me two things happen at after delivery install. The BH itself costs more and if dealer installed either way there is no install cost. Not all dealers may offer free install. I looked at a B model before deciding to by the BX which comes with the BH which is not an option. I did not see enough difference in capability to warrant the additional cost of the lower end Bs and I needed the BH.

Adding a subframe mounted backhoe to any tractor is a labor intensive operation whether it is installed when the tractor is assembled or after the fact.
the only Kubota backhoes that are currently factory installed are on the BX23S, B26, L47 and M62.

Wouldn't installation require a new swivel base for the seat and perhaps a new seat? Does the ROPS need to be changed as well?
